Visiting inmates at the Harford County Detention Center requires planning ahead. All visits must be scheduled through the GTL VisitMe platform. You need to use Google Chrome to access the site. Pre-registration is mandatory. You cannot show up and expect to visit without being in the system first.

That is the GTL VisitMe scheduling page for the Harford County Detention Center. In-person visits happen on weekends only. Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. You must schedule at least two days in advance. Changes or cancellations need to be made two days before the visit. Each session lasts 30 minutes. A maximum of two visitors can attend per session, and that includes children. You must be on the inmate's approved visitor list. Bring a valid government-issued photo ID and arrive 15 minutes early.

Parking for visitors is in the upper lot. The lower lot is for authorized staff only. If you need handicap parking, spaces are available in the lower lot with a valid placard. The Harford County Detention Center takes visit rules seriously. If you are late, you may lose your slot. If you break any rules during the visit, it will be ended early. These visits are monitored.
